I had a customer who required a cordless phone at one of their locations, so we wanted to get them something on the cheaper side that we could plug into their existing phone system with relative ease. these phones fit the bill perfectly..

We purchased this to replace an older Panasonic two-line phone system, and are very pleased with our purchase. As a small retail business we don't need an elaborate phone system, but we do need the basics, especially Caller ID, 3-Way Conferencing, and good clear call quality. This phone delivers what we need, without any unwanted extras, such as a built-in answering machine. We haven't had to refer to the manual much, but it seems to be clearly written and very thorough.
I must also compliment Panasonic on the quality of their packaging. The box is very efficiently designed, with absolutely no wasted space and both setup and repacking instructions printed on an interior flap where only the totally clueless could miss them.
